Filming of "NANA 2" In Front of Shinjuku ALTA
Opening December 9th - The hit movie "NANA 2" (directed by Kentaro Ootani), starring singer Mika Nakashima (age 23) and actor Hiroki Narimiya (age 24) in the four member punk group "BlackStones," appeared on October 25th at the Shinjuku ALTA, Tokyo.
Suddenly at 7:30 evening, lights lit up in the open atmosphere and Mika Nakashima steps on stage as the vocalist Oosaki Nana, which drew a large cheer from the crowd. About 2000 people gathered around the stage in an instant. She performed "NANA 2's" theme song "Hitoiro" and sang passionately by the night's limitations.
Director Ootani, who executed this event without trouble, commented, "Having so many people gather here without prior notice-- That is the power of NANA." The scene will also be used for Mika Nakashima's upcoming music video.
As for the editing used for the day's sequence, the filming and production for this scene costs 15 million yen, with ten cameras and aerial photography. 350 staff members were there to help, including 60 security guards at work.
NANA starring Mika Nakashima's album "THE END," which signifies the end of the "NANA" movie series, will hit stores on December 13th 2006.
