"I Love You" Mika Nakashima Covers A Yutaka Ozaki Classic Translated by Lisa
On August 28th, Daihatsu's latest CM was broadcasted on TV for the first time. The commercial stars actor Hayami Mokomichi and actress Noriko Iriyama; Accompanied by Mika Nakashima's beautiful vocals, which covers Yutaka Ozaki's famous song, "I Love You." The song is now being distributed limitedly through ringtone downloads.
In the previous CM, Kyogo Kawaguchi covered the same song "I Love You" and garnered a lot of attention from it. This is the second chapter of the CM, which Mika Nakashima bravely covers. The song is being produced by Akira Sudo, the same man who produced Yutaka Ozaki's version. Sudo muses, "When you listen to what has been completed, it just touches your heart. Even when teenagers hear the song, their hearts will be moved. You feel that the world view which Ozaki-san and Nakashima-san share, are very close."
"I Love You" is a new challenge to Mika, who has been expanding her musical horizons. For her single "All Hands Together," she paired up with Alan Toussaint to form a charity song, contributing to New Orlean's restoration. What's left, is deciding the song for which she will sing as the theme for the upcoming "NANA 2."
"I Love You" will be available as a ringtone on August 28th. Because there has not been details of a CD single release for this song, many will value it's tune and rush to download the ringtone.
