Rampo Jigoku - Press ConferenceRampo Jigoku
Hiroki & Ryuhei
Translated by Lisa

Aside from "NANA the Movie," Hiroki Narimiya and Ryuhei Matsuda are working together in another film called "Rampo Jigoku." The movie is a horror film and had just recently held a "movie completion" press conference. From what I've seen in the clips, all I have to say is: Hiroki Narimiya gets laid!

Chill Your Bones Yet Still Faithful To The Story
Rampo Jigoku :: July 13th, 2005 - Sina Entertainment - [ Source ]

Recently, a press conference was held in Tokyo to announce the completion of the movie, "Rampo Jigoku." The stars Tadanobu Asano, Hiroki Narimiya, and Ryuhei Matsuda all made an appearance. It has been decided that the movie will be showing in selected areas of Shibuya in Fall.

"Rampo Jigoku" is based off of short stories by Taroo Hirai. The movie contain the stories: "Kasei no Unga," "Kagami Jigoku," "Imomushi," and "Mushi." "Kasei no Unga" discusses the topic of a fantasy and nightmare. "Kagami Jigoku" is about a man who goes out of control from being possessed by a cursed mirror. "Imomushi" and "Mushi" tells the separate story of a husband who encounters violence upon losing the use of his body; and a female actress who has a romance with a very mysterious single man.

In order to better capture the perversity of "Rampo Jigoku," a large number of people with different personalities all helped to build the movie. The director requested that the actors not only fully act out their characters while filming, but to also maintain a level of mysteriousness in their daily life. The motto for all the actors is: "You MUST make the audience feel fear down to their very bones."

This is the second collaboration between Ryuhei Matsuda and Tadanobu Asano.
