New Song for TV Drama "Life" [ Yahoo Japan ] - June 15, 2007 Translated by Lisa After releasing her album "YES" this previous March, and currently in the middle of her "YES MY JOY 2007" concert tour; Mika Nakashima takes on the task of singing the theme song to Fuji TV's latest drama series, "Life," which broadcasts on June 30th. Fuji TV is currently broadcasting the drama, "Liar Game," in it's Saturday night slot. Starring Erika Toda and Shota Matsuda as part of it's excellent young cast, along with a very compelling storyline, the show is receiving excellent ratings. Now preparing for the second phase, there are high expectations and heavy attention given to the upcoming drama "Life." "Life" is a popular manga serialized in the monthly shoujo comic magazine, "Betsufure." The original comic book series have sold well over 7 million copies to date. The upcoming live action drama will star Kii Kitano, Saki Fukuda, and other fresh faced actresses. The theme song "Life," which Mika Nakashima sings, was written especially for the manga story of "Life." A staff member comments, "The storyline and the words are interlinked. Mika Nakashima's charm touches upon a strong musical piece with an edgy feeling." Because of this, the expectation for the upcoming theme song and drama will be very high. Furthermore, the latest artistic photograph of Mika Nakashima was revealed wearing shorts and freshly cut bangs! The black and white photo displayed Mika's hair flowing free naturally, fixed with a fierce expression, and matched with knee length shorts. The photograph displays the appearance of a leader in fashion. Mika Nakashima's new single "Life" will be released on August 22nd, after the drama's first broadcast at the end of June. In July, a very limited video clip of "Life" along with original illustrations will be sold. Mika Nakashima's national "YES MY JOY 2007" concert tour will officially end in Tokyo, with the final two performances on July 29th and July 30th.
