"NANA," the most popular manga among high school girls in both Japan and Taiwan, is in the process of being filmed into a movie. It stars two very famous celebrities, Mika Nakashima and Aoi Miyazaki as the leading roles. "NANA's" Success Is Incomparible. Sales for the manga have reached far above 17 million copies in Japan. Taiwan has also sold over 150,000 copies of "NANA." Author Ai Yazawa hopes that the movie will be able to reach out to non-readers of "NANA," as well as the already increasing population of "NANA" fans.
